FABRIC / CONSTRUCTION / DECORATION

A material choice is
more than a colour.

Keep fabric properties, garment construction and decoration decisions visible. Confirm the selected references against the sample and the intended use.

01 / FABRIC

Record what the fabric is.

  • Fibre composition
  • Knit or woven construction
  • Weight and reference
  • Finish and colour

02 / GARMENT

Confirm how it is built.

  • Fit and measurement points
  • Seams, openings and reinforcement
  • Trims and garment construction
  • Sample version and approved details

03 / DECORATION

Review the actual artwork.

  • Print, embroidery or patch
  • Placement and finished size
  • Artwork version and colour reference
  • Labels, hangtags and retail packing

KEEP THE EVIDENCE IN SCOPE

Composition, finish and test result are different records.

A fabric description explains what was selected. A finish explains what treatment was requested. A test report should identify the tested sample, method, result and date. One does not prove the other.

HAVE A REFERENCE?

Show the fabric or finish you have in mind.

A swatch, tech pack or garment reference can help the team identify what needs to be confirmed.
